Happy Mother's Day! :)

Sorry this is a day late but better late then never :)

So I was at church yesterday when the teacher said his son asked his mom why there was no such thing as "children's day" and of course her smart and reasonable answer was: EVERYDAY is children's day! :) Then that got me thinking, why do we only have one day a year we celebrate mothers? Mother's have the most amazing calling and service of raising god's children but it is still not an easy task and it is one that never ends because they will always be your children, big or small.
(A man's work is from sun to sun, but a mother's work is never done.)
So I decided to do a little tribute to my mother and Tyler's mother because they are the incredible women who gave both Tyler and I life, and helped make us who we are today.

Margaret:

My amazing Mother.
The two lessons that come to mind when I think of what my mother has taught me that stuck over the 21 years of life I have are forgiveness and giving.
My mom is such a giving person, giving of her time, thoughts, energy and anything she can manage to do to help any of her children or someone in need. She has such an incredible heart that is so full of love and I hope that I have acquired this trait over the years so I can be just as giving as she has been. I also have learned forgiveness from her. She taught me from an early age that we need to forgive all because if the Lord can forgive us for our faults then we must do as He has and forgive no matter what. This trait I am slowly trying to acquire, it is very hard but I know it will definitely help me in my new marriage to have a forgiving heart. I love my mom so much and I know I wouldn't be the woman I am now without her and the guidance she has given me in my life. As Abe Lincoln said:

“All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my Mother”

Thank you mom for giving me life, teaching me many lessons and raising me. You are the perfect mom for me and I hope you know I love you forever and always! :)

Susan:

Tyler's wonderful Mother.
I will share what I know about Susan and admire about her. Over the 2 years I have known the Richards family, I have seen what an extraordinary mother Sue is. She does so much for her kids and it doesn't stop there. I know all her neighbors and friends receive little goodies, quilts, thank you's or just thinking about you cards on a regular basis because of what a great friend and charitable person she is. (I have been on the receiving end of many of those little thoughtful gifts) She has unconditional love for all and is an amazing helping hand at all times. She is selfless and kind, her own kids and husband should call her supermom. I know I am very grateful for what a great mother she was to Tyler and helping to raise him to the man he is today. She did an incredible job with all her children and I am so happy to be apart of this family.

Happy Mother’s Day!

To all the women who took on the task of raising children, you deserve a celebration. Not only one day but everyday.
