November for the Mr. and Mrs.

[Part 2 of 3] ...I said only 2 parts but I forgot how many pics of NYC I have :)
"In NEW YORK, Concrete jungle where dreams are made of,
There’s nothing you can’t do, Now you’re in New Yorkthese streets will make you feel brand new, the lights will inspire you, let's hear it for New York, New York, New York" -Alicia Keys

Yes I did sing this song when I arrived in the magical city of New York city :) {call me a nerd, it's fine. I know it} This picture was of the first "real" New York building I saw once we got off the subway. I was in utter amazement. BLOWN away at this massive city and the lights. The INCREDIBLE amount of people everywhere. The newness of new surrounding and sites {for me}.

Well let's start with pictures from the airport on our way to NYC
Forrest Gump rules.

JUMBO suckers!
JUMBO mentos! everything was GIANT size.
Once we arrived in NYC we had to rush to get to our hotel, change/freshen up then head into the city for dinner and then the reason for the stop the play "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying". Since there are 8 of us it looked like we would have to get 2 taxis to take us to the subway....WELL we were in luck! A limo pulled up and said he could take us for the same price as 2 taxis. HEY why not right?
rollin in the limo :)

this guy thinks he is a straight balla :) haha
Once we arrived in the city, we went to find food immediately. Our wonderful find was SHAKE SHACK :)

It was DELICIOUS. The BEST burger I have ever had. ever. Long disneyland like line but worth the wait. THEN we had a little time to go explore Time Square {always wanted to go there since I watched TRL when I was younger :) haha} Here is the proof:

PRETTY lights everywhere! :)
THEN it was off to the play!
 Starring Daniel Radcliffe AKA Harry Potter :)
I couldn't take actual pictures but here is the theater prior to the play starting.
GREAT play.
I loved seeing Daniel Radcliffe in a different role and he had a great american accent.
After the play was done the cast took a bow then Daniel and John {the other main character} stayed and began speaking....instantly Daniel went from Pierrepont Finch to Harry Potter!! English accent was great :) anyway they started an "auction" for Pierrepont's bow tie which then they added that you could come back stage to meet the cast. The bid started at $50 and ended at....$5,000!!! YIKES. crazy. It was lots of fun to watch people throw money around like it was monopoly money though. haha
NEXT we headed out to explore more. We went to Serendipity so I could experience the real NY original Serendipity.
Unfortunately the wait for 8 was 2 hours {YEAH 2 hours! WHAT?!}
So John, Sue, Ash and John decided to leave since they had already been there.
So Matson, Erica, Ty and I waited and got in about 15 minutes later :)
Then we got the delicious experience of a Serendipity frozen hot chocolate!
mmm {minus their weird whipped cream}
 Their HUGE menus. Entertaining to look through though :)
CREEPY picture of me. But there it is. Serendipity :) it was a fun experience

Well this is where day one of NYC ends and the next blog post will be day 2 :) THEN I will update you on December. I WILL not make it to the new year without being up to date on our year!!
