I love SpOnTaNeiTy

It was a last minute decision but one of the best I have made. I didn't plan on going to Lake Powell this year because Ty + I would be in Tennessee but since Ty's selling took him 2+ hours away and he was staying in hotels most the week, it seemed like destiny wanted me at Lake Powell ;) haha! I had a long internal battle (maybe a little external too) about it then I finally realized it would probably be good for my sanity to go on a vacation with my fam plus I needed to look for apartments in Provo anyway so I went back to Utah on the 28th of July for 12 days of adventures. YES 12 days away from my husby! (that is husband and hubbby mixed. I know I am a dork, I enjoy it) It was a lot of fun but I certainly missed him and wished he could have been with me. He survived, I survived and I think he even had some fun without me, but I know he really REALLY wanted to be at Powell. NEXT year he will be there. NOT even a question.

TY + NICOLE = fantastic Forbes family fun :)
So anyway I flew into Vegas on the 28th and RAN to the shuttle, then was on my way to STG. When I arrived I had someone ask if Marissa was my twin...haha silly boy we are 5 years apart....guess I appear younger than I am ;) Before Powell on Friday night Marissa and Sam wanted me to go to this new place called Antigravity. Its a new business opened that has trampolines lining the ground and sides in 2 different areas, one for dodgeball and the other for jumping around! Then they have 3 inflatable interactive bouncers, one was an obstacle course, another was a bungee run, and the last was the joust. (I did all of them but the joust and dodgeball...who willingly wants to get smacked around to get off a pedestal? Or to get hit with a ball even if you are trying to dodge it! haha) Sam and I raced on the obstacle course, I won :) BUT he is a powerhouse when it came to the bungee run. Then Marissa and I just bounced around for an hour or so while he played dodgeball. (Here are pics of the bouncers)

So then we headed to Powell the next day and the time there was a blast! Wake-boarding, tubing, reading, playing speed scrabble, bananagrams, buzz word, catch phrase, all sorts of card games and just catching up with the family :) I did surprise Kellee and (kinda) Kimberly that I came to Powell, which was what I was trying to do. This year I guess the long winter brought a lot of water to the lake so it rose about 30 feet or so, which gave us all an idea to go find our long lost and loved sand dunes. We went on like a 25 minute ride to find them (painfully bumpy and fast, thanks to my cousin Tyler. I was sure I had injured my internal organs but no sign of that yet) We finally got to it and the water was high enough for us to get right up to it BUT unfortunately it hadn't risen enough. The water was like 3-4 feet at the bottom of the dunes and as you will see in the pictures, there was lots of bushes blocking our path into the water as well so it looked like a failure or injury if we tried. Our boat decided to head back, jump off cliffs and not go hiking to see what else to do around there. (Thank heavens because our hikes turn into an hour or longer hike...no bueno)

My mom, Marissa and I left Thursday for Provo/SLC. Then the apartment hunting began...Sue and I went on the hunt Friday and Saturday. We found many great options but the winner was just found by Sue once I had returned to Tennessee. YAY! Now we just have to return to Utah! :)

OH yes I also went and visited Ty in Asheville, NC after I got back. It was the most beautiful drive to get there and the new area was fun to explore (or get lost in) And now I know why they call them the SMOKY mountains. I took pictures to capture it. We attempted to go see the Biltmore Mansion BUT it cost $60 to go see it if you don't buy them a week in advance....that was a NO GO! Unless they have some sweet roller-coaster inside, I don't think it should cost $60!

It all ends. Part 2 is here!

I know I am a complete Harry Potter nerd but I am 100% content with that. SO here is my post about how excited I am to go see the FINAL battle and adventure in this movie series! :)

And here is the link to get to the trailer to get you as stoked about this as me!

Isn't it crazy to think about how long this movie series has been going on...The movie series started in 2001! We have been waiting for this for 10, yes 10 years!! How nutso is that?? If that isn't patience I don't know what is. ALSO if you are smart (I don't mean intelligent smart, I mean if you used your brain and made a good judgment in reading this series) and read the books as well, that means you have been waiting since 1997! That is when the first book came out, your imagination formed this series in your mind for over 14 years and it is ending tonight when it let out into theaters! If you don't sense my excitement then I will video me right before I go see the movie and post that later ;)

....I have made it a goal to someday with or without children (who will have to have read and viewed all the movies prior) go to Harry Potter World at Universal Studios and experience that wonderful world of magic :)

.FoUrTh of JuLy. and what not :)

LET THE COUNTDOWN BEGIN:
Here we are only like 6 weeks away from returning to Utah....I cannot wait :) mostly because I am beyond bored of this place. I love the scenery but I don't get to see much of it since I have been without a car for about a month (Ty takes it for work). Well luckily we have time to do what we want before they go out and sell, so we have gone boating a few times with Spencer and the guys. There is a video of Ty trying these new wake trick skis (or something like that)...I found out I need to only record horizontally on my camera because the vertical footage can't be rotated therefore I can't post it for safety reasons. (I don't want someone trying to view the video and unfortunately falling over...it could happen?) Also there is a video of Spencer trying a trick I told him to try. He was scared to try it and I feel like if you have the skills (which he does) you should attempt the tricks you fear because you probably can do it, you just need motivation...the trick is called an 'Air Raley' or 'Superman'.

boating!! :)
NOW let's talk about 4th of July!
I made cupcakes for a bbq we were gonna have for all the boys (bring your own meat and the lovely wives bring a salad etc.) Well I made salsa but I wanted to be festive so I made cupcakes for everyone. Then we bbq'd and later they all shot off fireworks.
The scariest part was when Ty was setting off these really big fireworks with Spencer, Matt and Jeff. They all were going to set them off at the same time but Ty's lighting device didn't work so he was left there trying to light the firework when the first one went off in his face. I was SUPER worried he would be deaf or like bleeding out his ear with a broken eardrum or something!
Thank goodness all was fine. He kept on lighting fireworks off.

Silly boys and their love for fire/fireworks :)

this is my silly husband modeling my cupcakes :)

yum!
:)
I LOVE when he has a night off!
off to the fireworks we go
let the celebration begin

THE Adventures of TJ + Nicole LoWeezy in Knoxville

Don't mind the title. I was feeling a little like a comic character for the day. And the LoWeezy came from this fellow that checked me out at Bed Bath & Beyond. He got my email address for store discounts etc. and he said "OH Louise? Does anyone call you LoWeezy??" No one does but me now. haha. So here is how it started. After TJ and Nicole LoWeezy wed at the end of April, they honeymooned in Cancun then came straight out to Knoxville. The journey to Knoxville was a nice start to the summer. A day of driving, a night in a sketchy motel and then another day of driving then we finally reached Knoxville, Tennessee! Since we have been out here we have betrayed Gold's Gym and joined a local gym for the summer (forgive us later GG!) We have gone boating before TJ goes to sale, had a few bbq's, played volleyball and had a pool party. Here is one of those moments caught in action.

Alright so the question of the day is WHAT ON EARTH does Nicole do with her time all day in Knoxville?!

  1. I have gone and picked strawberries with some of the other wives and made plenty of jam and chocolate covered strawberries. YUM in my TUM.

            2.  I have made friends with the wives of the other sales reps and we have started doing our best to keep each other entertained until 9 or 10 at night. haha. Like making cakes or craft time. Going on random errands with one another just to get out of the house. Sitting watching movies over and over  while writing our thank you notes and creating a luau party for the kids and inviting us  :) all sorts of fun.

This is a cinnamon swirl cake w/cream cheese frosting I made! mmm :)

(Here is my attempt at a fabric flower)
(Luau party with the kids! They are too cute :) )

 3. Laying out in the sun, reading and as of today playing tennis (we are going to make it a weekly ordeal)
        4. Having girls/wives nights. We have tried two local restaurants and seen movies. So far since I have been out here I have seen:

A really great movie...

A kind of weird romantic movie...some say its like The Village, but I haven't seen that yet.
weirdly enough. I actually really liked this movie. We had to make sure Ty didn't speed home after though...

I LOVED THIS MOVIE. I love when movies show the prequel and how it all began...kudos.

...I saw the Pirates movies too but I wasn't into it. Not the best one. Pretty mermaids though :)

LAST but not least of the adventures is one of the most entertaining nights I have experienced so far....FIREWORKS + boys = straight joy :)

This is Ty on his way to start playing with fireworks with all the boys
Oh after this night I found out how much I love these fireworks.
Jeffrey and his fireworks

NOW for your entertainment....is the video of these boys using fireworks in a epic battle. Like Harry Potter style :) it is great. Here is the link

ENJOY! :)
